Harsco Infrastructure supply ROVACABIN® in Quick Build for Air Museum

Harsco Infrastructure (formerly SGB) used its ROVACABIN® modular building expertise to provide an urgently needed education centre at the Midland Air Museum near Coventry. The two-bay building, measuring 12m long by 6m wide, replaces an old portable cabin, which had been serving as a learning centre for the past 20 years. With seating for up to 90 people, the new building will provide up-to-date facilities for lectures, seminars and school visits. The museum, which had been looking to replace its existing mobile cabin for some time, selected Harsco Infrastructure after obtaining a quote from the company several years previously for a similar project.

The museum was seeking a modular building for reasons of cost, timescales and flexibility. “We have a limited budget and we didn’t want the delay and disruption that a permanent building would have entailed,” says Museum spokesman Tony Evans. “Naturally we were happy to update our proposal and supply a competitive solution to fulfil the requirements of the museum” comments Andy Baker, Sales Area Manager for Harsco Infrastructure. The Museum felt that the ROVACABIN® modular building would provide the best solution for their needs and also provide a good support network for the project. The ROVACABIN® modular building also allows the museum to extend the building should it need to in the future. “We’ve been very impressed with the help, support and advice provided by Harsco Infrastructure,” adds Mr Evans.
